It was a great show

Carp Cottage

My first solo show is in the books. To say it
was a success would be an understatement.
The weather was wonderful. Friday the
temperature neared 70 degrees. That is unheard
of for the middle of February in NJ. People were
thrilled to be out and about after being cooped up
for the past two months.

The local papers did an excellent job of promoting
the weekend. Thursday's paper carried an excellent
article. I was the featured artist. They also printed a
very nice picture of one of my pieces, which whetted
$95
folks' appetite to see more.

I would estimate about 200 people came through.
At times it was quite crowded. People seemed to
be genuinely impressed with my work. A few even came back Saturday, after having been there on Friday night.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but things went
much better than I'd hoped. The whole
experience was uplifting and encouraging.
The most exciting thing was the fact that I
sold a piece to one of the well established
artists in town. It was gratifying to be appreciated
by not only the general public, but by other

artists.

Thanks to all of you who came out to see me.
The entire weekend was so much fun.

I'm trying to get another show to keep
the momentum going and to continue my
growth as an artist.

I would appreciate your comments,
especially if you were there.
