Rescheduled Show

The "I Heart Art" art show that was originally
scheduled for August 27th, will take place this
Saturday, October 29, 2011. There will be many diverse artists on hand to show their work.
They will be available to talk with and to discuss their art.



Also from 7:30- 8:30, SHE LOVES ME will
be providing live music. Along with some wine
and cheese, this promises to be an exciting

evening of music, wine, and beautiful art.


I will have several new pieces with me. The
newest of which is pictured to the right. It
has not been titled yet.

I Heart Art - Second Attempt

The art event, I Heart Art, originally scheduled

for August 27 was postponed due to inclement
weather.We were all set to go back in August
when Hurricane Irene decided to blow through.
 So the show was postponed for the safety of
all those involved.







So now we are set to give it a go again. The date
is set : October 29, 2011, 7-10 pm.. The place is
the same : 22 East Palmer Ave, Collingswood, NJ.
The admission is still FREE. And the weather has
cooled off. So now it's time to go on with the show.

There will be a diverse group of artists eager to
show their work and happy to talk with the
guests about their artwork.





 So come on out and have a fun evening of music
and art.

New Sculptures and "I Heart Art"

 In preparation for the upcoming
I Heart Art show, I have been
working on some new pieces.




These pieces have been created
in my new 'studio', which is just
a space out back under the maple
tree. I am in the process of selling
my old building, but the wheels turn awfully slowly. So until the
transaction is completed I am
temporarily confined to the
backyard.

Lovely Evening for an Art Party

Saturday evening, June 4, was the "Illuminations"
art party in Collingswood.
Our hostess for the evening, Tracie Godrey,
did a wonderful job of creating an atmosphere
that was conducive to the showing of all the
artists work. There was a diverse range of art

represented and it was all displayed in a

tasteful manner.

The weather could not have been nicer.

About 45 minutes before the guests were

to arrive it sprinkled lightly, causing some

anxiety. That soon passed, the sky cleared up,

and it turned into the perfect evening.

The guests wandered inside and outside

admiring all that was offered. All while

being treated to delicious hors d'oeurvres

and wine.


I was happy to meet the other artists.
They were a great group of people, happy to
take the time to talk with the guests and explain
their art and answer any questions.





A pleasant time was had by all who attended,

artists and guests alike. I look forward to the next
opportunity to join Tracie and all the others for another show.

Illuminations - My Next Show

This is the invitation for my next show.
It will be Sat. June 4, 2011    7-10 pm
Tracie, our host for the evening, is a talented
painter. She uses large canvases which really
make a bold statement.
 She is planning a delightful evening of live
music and art.

I have several new pieces which I will debut
at the show. Here are pictures of some of them.

May's Shows



Yogawood

 What a month May has been. I was involved
in three shows, and all three were very
satisfying. I met some interesting people and
made quite a few contacts for future shows.

The first show was May 14, at Yogawood
in Collingswood, NJ. This was a solo show.
It was a spectacular space for an exhibition,
with exposed brick walls, an open floor plan
and an absolutely amazing hardwood floor
that is a work of art in itself.



While the weather was somewhat damp and

dreary, people seemed genuinely enthused

The second show this month was in Media, PA.

This was the annual This Space 4 Rent exhibit,

sponsored by the Media Arts Council. The show

ran for one week, May 14-20.  Again I had a

marvelous time meeting new people and

artists. This was a group showing, open to all

members of the Arts Council. There was some

very impressive art on display.

And finally, the last show was the annual Perkins

Center for the Arts members and faculty show.

This show runs from May 22 - June 19, 2011.

I couldn't believe the wide variety of art on

exhibit. There were some truly magnificent

artworks on display. I was pleased to have my

work on display with these artists of such high

 be in conjunction with 'Second Saturday'.

both indoors and out.

 My show will be held at Yogawood.
Yogawood is a yoga studio that I will transform
into an art gallery for the night. I will have  a

many new works along with some older ones. I
will also have some of my small garden pieces
for sale.

their annual  'This Space 4 Rent' art exhibit.
This in an event where they take a vacant
downtown building and convert it into an
art gallery for a week long show.

Totems: A New Series

 I have been working on a new series
of sculptures. I am calling them 'Totems'.
These totems are abstract representations
meant to impart a sense of awareness of
a particular feeling or entity.

They will span diverse field of topics,
covering everything from industrial
installations to human feeling to light-
hearted absurdity.

with this series. I'm sure that I will
continue making them for a long time.
