What Sculptors Do on Vacation

I recently spent a weekend in the Pocono mountains with my family.

On Saturday, we visited Lake Wallenpaupack for a walk.

I was immediately drawn to the rocky shoreline.

 The family proceeded without me.

They had a nice walk and I had a great time balancing rocks.

Late Winter Sculptures

Here are a few sculptures I was able 

to complete on the nice days this winter.

Son of a Sculpture

In July of 2014 my solo show

Untooled 

opened at Annex 24 Gallery in Lancaster, PA

That exhibit focused on the tools of our parents generation

exhibited as the works of art that they were.

One of the sculptures was 

Hammers 

When I received them, most of these hammers had handles.

The handles were removed to created the sculpture, 

and were set aside.

Recently I rediscovered the handles and decided that

they were worthy of their own sculpture.

Here is the result.

Summer Sculptures 2017
