 I've begun a new series of sculpture that I'm calling
"Miniatures by Dan"


These are small pieces.
They range in size from 2" to "8 in height.














Thus will be an ongoing series.

Astronomers



My latest series of sculptures
are abstract pieces 
named after famous astronomers.

Kepler

Johannes Kepler was a 16th century astronomer who discovered that the planets 
followed an elliptical orbit around the sun.

Herschel

William Herschel is known for his discovery of the planet Uranus 
and many nebulae and other celestial bodies.

Ptolemy

Claudius Ptolemy was an Egyptian mathematician 
and astronomer of the 2nd century AD.
He first described the solar system as a series of nested spheres.

Galileo
 Galileo Galilei was an Italian astronomer.
He is known as the father of modern astronomy.

Sagan

 Carl Sagan was a twentieth century American astronomer who was active in the search for extraterrestrial life and contributed to most of the space missions 
to Mars and the outer planets.
